Youth Encounter - Quakes and Congress

Incorporated in 1965, Youth Encounter, http://www.youthencounter.org, is an evangelical and confessional Christian organization that began by sending a music ministry team to Scandinavia. Rooted in the Christian Scriptures and shaped by the Lutheran tradition, Youth Encounter has now grown into a global ministry serving churches of many denominations in the United States and over 40 other countries. Annual weekend events, Quakes and Congresses, are scheduled throughout the country, featuring Christ-centered music, speakers, workshops, small groups and social activities. At these events, God builds caring Christian community among youth and adults, personal faith in Jesus Christ, and positive relationships among peers. Youth Quakes in WI Dells are for young people in grades 6-9. This program also includes leadership opportunities for Junior Guides (grades 10-12) to serve as positive role models for the group. Youth Congresses in Chicago Area  are designed for young people in grades 9-12.
