"Let us be GRATEFUL to people who make us happy. They are the charming gardeners who make our souls BLOSSOM" -Marcel Proust.

When I was in high school, which was a long time ago my sister Caroline told me that as I went through differ-ent stages of my life not only would I change, my friends would also change. I thought she was crazy, that would never happen to me, my high school friends would be my true friends forever, and on top of that I would marry my high school sweetheart and life would be good.

Last Saturday night I went to my 40

Thank goodness our nametags not only had our names on them, but also our graduating picture, be-cause otherwise there were people there that I had no idea who they were. When we graduated nobody was really heavy, everybody had hair and it wasn’t grey, and everybody could walk up and down steps without a prob-lem, not that way anymore. And oh by the way, that high school boyfriend well, he is married to a wonderful woman who I consider a friend.

It was so much fun catching up with everybody, finding out what they have done in their life, reliving old stories and wondering were the time had went, it felt like it was just last year we were marching up on stage to receive our diplomas. It was a wonderful night of memories.

I am so grateful for every person in my class. They all in some way have played an important part in my life and have helped me to be the person I am today (which can be good or bad depending on how you look at it).

It is not by chance that people come into our lives, God puts them there, everybody has a purpose, sometimes we don’t know what that purpose is at the time, but God does, and God will lead us where we need to be, all we need to do is follow Him.

My sister Caroline was right, through time, I have changed and my friends have changed, but God has given me friendships that will live in my heart forever.

About that weight thing, I weighed 98 pounds on graduation day, my hair today is all mine and grey hair, well only Susie my beautician knows for sure.

Your Ministries Coordinator,

th DeForest High School Class Reunion and as I looked around the room I wondered who all of those old people were. Some of those people I hadn’t seen in twenty years (the last reunion I was at) and some of them I hadn’t seen since the day we graduated. Karen
