A Message from Pastor Josh:
Welcome to Burke Lutheran Church. We are a diverse, growing ELCA congregation striving to share the good news of Christ's love with our neighbors. How do we do this you ask?
We Preach-
At the center of our community life is worship. On Sundays we bring together our individual lives and stand with each other to acknowledge our faults and celebrate God's abundant grace. Our two worship services reflects our understanding that God's presence can be known through a variety of musical styles.
We Teach-
As our experiences of God continue to expand, so can our learning about God. Our Sunday School is bursting with many young voices who are being nurtured in their faith. Those voices are often shared in worship through songs, skits and of course, our weekly kids' messages. And since learning does not end in our teens, our adult studies and small groups engage those of us still wondering and discovering new ways to engage our Lord in our everyday lives.
We Reach-
Each week God sends us out from worship with Christ's blessing. We carry that good news into the world, often beginning with our own neighborhoods. Burke actively supports several organizations, including The Road Home and our local food pantries. Our quilters make over 200 quilts a year that we send off to Lutheran World Relief. We have helped to financially support new congregations and Burke is one of the founding churches of Lutherdale, the Bible camp of our synod. We have a long history of looking beyond our walls to see what God is doing around us.

South-Central Synod of Wisconsin- ELCA
On a local/regional level, Burke Lutheran Church is part of the South Central Synod of Wisconsin-ELCA, (SCSW-ELCA). The SCSW-ELCA is led by Bishop Bruce Burnside through offices in Madison, WI. He and the synod staff provide support ministries to over 150 congregations in this region of WI.
